In the context of strengthening environmental management and enhancing transparency in emissions data, JIYANG Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. has progressively expanded its management system from controlling traditional operational indicators to conducting greenhouse gas inventory and management at the organizational level.

This represents an important step, demonstrating a data-driven environmental governance orientation that is structured, quantitative, and verifiable.

On that basis, the company implemented a certification audit program in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018, with the participation of ARES Vietnam’s team of experts.

In the plastic materials manufacturing sector, greenhouse gas emissions primarily arise from electricity consumption of machinery systems such as molding equipment, heating systems, cooling systems, air compressors, and auxiliary processes within production operations. These emission sources are distributed across multiple operational stages and are closely associated with equipment utilization levels and operating loads.

In the absence of an inventory methodology established under a unified standard, emissions data are often aggregated indirectly from energy cost figures, resulting in limitations in terms of accuracy, traceability, and consistency across reporting periods. The application of ISO 14064-1:2018 enables the company to establish a systematic emissions management framework, meeting increasingly stringent requirements for environmental governance and sustainable development.

• Reviewing energy consumption data and the methodology for conversion into CO₂ equivalent emissions.

• Comparing quantification and inventory methodologies against the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018.

• Evaluating control mechanisms, data retention, and traceability to ensure the consistency and reliability of emissions information.

The program was implemented in accordance with the planned schedule, with close coordination among relevant departments of the company, ensuring that data collection and processing fully complied with the requirements of the standard.
